Somerset Coast
Flood Tide
Bridgwater Bay as a gentle evening flood tide covers the beach and the sun hides behind the clouds.
Large perhaps,
Still Water
The evening tide has reached it's peak, and pauses before the frantic rush back out to sea.
Bridgwater Bay Pilot boat "Ben Lee" on her moorings on the River Brue, Burnham on Sea.
Captured on the mobile phone a few years ago, so large, may be rewarding.
On the Evening Tide.
A strong cold wind accompanies the evening tides arrival but clear skies and low evening sun give a nice clear light. Not an attractive subject but one full of hope for a full restoration,
Brean Down
Another evening view this time across the bay to Brean Down from Birnbeck in Weston Super Mare.
Up River
The Quantock hills form the backdrop to an evening view of the River Parrett,

Waiting for the Tide
It's documentation in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle is proof that the port at Porlock Weir has been in existance for over a thousand years and as one of the few places small ships can land along the rugged Exmoor coast it has had a varied history.
The huge tidal range in the Bristol Channel means everything is left high and dry at low water while the houses in the image which are on the shingle bank between sea and harbour regularly have sand bags at the ready.

Sunset Bay
Patterns on the beach as a gentle evening tide arrives at Blue Anchor Bay on the Somerset coast.
Minehead and North Hill as Exmoor meets the sea in the distance.
Coastal Grey Day
Another grey day on Bridgwater Bay, It feels like it has been this way for ages however on this particular day the light was amazing (but still grey), I think the light must have fooled the sensor as I'm sure the grass was not quite that green ;-))
Large if you prefer.
I wish everyone a good week.
Winter Sun and Long Shadows
On the beach in January, Minehead, Somerset looking towards the holiday complex.
Large please for details.
