North Shore,

North Shore,
Campbeltown, Kintyre is the westernmost town on the island of Great Britain,
It is around a 2-hour drive from Oban, 2.5 hours by ferry from Ardrossan and has scheduled daily flights to/from Glasgow International Airport,
Campbeltown became an important centre for Scotch whisky, it has 3 distilleries, and is a busy fishing port.
This is a murky day image from the north shore of Campbeltown Loch at low tide and is looking towards the town.

I read all of Meyrick's books, Roger. He comes from Campbeltown, he was a manager in the whisky industry and he was a police officer. He uses the experiences of these to write his books. Since you know Campbeltown, you will recognize the locations in his novels.
