Oban Bay, Sea Wall.

Oban bay and George Street, with (MaCaig's Tower Note 1) also known as McCaig's Folly,[2] is a prominent tower on Battery Hill[3] overlooking the town of Oban in Argyll, Scotland. It is built of Bonawe granite taken from the quarries across Airds Bay, on Loch Etive, from Muckairn, with a circumference of about 200 metres (660 ft) with two-tiers of 94 lancet arches (44 on the bottom and 50 on top). It is a Grade B Listed historic monument. (wkipedia)

Herb Riddle ^club

Not sure if I have ever visited Oban in sunshine like this but your shot here proves that it does happen. An excellent capture of this famous frontage with the Roman type arena on the hill. I have a feeling that the building on the front with a big wide first floor window was the venue for the Scottish folk music and meal nights that we enjoyed. Great work.

The tower looks quite interesting...........and the view from up there must be fantastic, but I expect the most popular attraction is the distillery!
