Rings of Kintyre
Campbeltown is one of five areas in Scotland categorised as a distinct malt whisky producing region, and is home to the Campbeltown single malts, The weathered steel rings represent the copper straps around a Whisky Barrel, and the sculpture is called Am Baraille.

The Island seen through the rings is Davaar Island which is located at the mouth of Campbeltown Loch off the east coast of Kintyre, in Argyll and Bute, It is a tidal island, linked at low tide to the mainland by a natural shingle causeway called the Dhorlin,

A flat light kind of day but a large view may be worthwhile,

We've been to Campbeltown but didn't see this structure, Roger. It's really nice and sort of reminiscent of the Falkirk boat-lift for some reason. I like this sort of light in fact. Summer light can be so stark.
