Breakwater

Breakwater
The North Sea can be fearsome so even small well sheltered harbours like here at Latheronwheel has a need to slow down the waves, this is one of a pair of walls that guard the entrance,
The eroded cliff to the right of the stack bear testimony to the power of the sea,

Maria Lovasz, Marco F. Delminho, Erhard Bernstein, Smiley Derleth and 26 other people have particularly liked this photo

Very well captured and your photo certainly shows what the power of the waves can do, Roger.

A very nicely composed shot of this rugged scene Roger. Erosion by the same North Sea is a big problem along the North and East Yorkshire coast, due to the soft nature of the rock along the shore.

All the best, Doug
