I launched out on I-83 this morning from York on what should have been a two-and-a-half hour journey. I knew my day was not going to go as planned the minute I hit the freeway to Harrisburg and this is what greeted me. IT WAS A LONG DAY!

Finally! Something I can look forward to in my older years!

It was late evening when I visited, but I wanted to grab a shot of the old service station on Highway 93, Norris. (SC,US) I've taken better photos of this old station in the past when I had more time and better lighting conditions, but you can see that it's just a matter of time before the front of the building goes falling toward the highway. (Still, it may not be as soon as I think. I thought it would have already happened before now.)

I didn't count to make sure there were 55 candles there, but I'll take their word for it if they should tell me there were. (I suspect the smoke from that many candles blown out might have set off the fire alarm . lol) (photo courtesy of Kristin)

My hometown! It's nice to be home after 49 and 1/2 days away. Dorothy was right!
