View from other side. Old stretch of US Highway 178 between Liberty and Anderson, SC. Many accidents occurred along that old stretch of road and deep curve in the backwaters of Lake Hartwell- some of them fatal. They finally got around to re-routing the road to go above the Lake. This is the same curve where a car of Clemson students left the road and died when I was a kid. (So, let's see- 35-40 years later they finally fix it?) The area is growing up rapidly, but the bridge remains, showing the old road path.

Kolton's first visit to Chuck E Cheese's. It was only a five-minute visit. The level of activity seemed a little overwhelming to him, and he quickly let us know that he wasn't ready for this. If he's anything like Kristin, by the time he's two, he'll love this place! :)
Kristin's First Grade Teacher, Mrs. Lockhart, came to Kristin's graduation in May 2010. In the course of the conversation, she told me that Kristin's class was her favorite class of all the classes she's taught over the years, and that although she's had lots of great students, Kristin was her favorite student of all time. I believed her when she told me that, but here's the proof: in going through some old papers around the house, I found this picture and message. When I looked for Kristin in the picture, I couldn't spot her. Then I happened to see that Kristin was sitting in the teacher's lap! Proof that she really was the teacher's favorite student. lol
Kristin went shopping, and Grandpa Greg got to wheel Kolton around the mall while she tried on clothes. Notice the skinned knees where he's forever crawling everywhere. He still hasn't mastered the art of walking, but he can easily stand up from a seated position (without even pulling up or propping up against something).
