She’s alive!
A tornado Sunday took out everything in its path, including my mom’s house. All that is left is the shell and what wasn’t smashed by multiple huge falling trees. My mom was in the house at the time it hit. Apparently the tornado took a path directly behind my house, through her property, onto the property across the street, and then along a river path to another neighborhood, where more homes were leveled. My mom, now 81, was hit in the head by a falling tree and cut in the leg, but managed to climb under and over the rubble to walk to my house next door to seek help. We’re without power and she’s without a house, but we’re alive, and that’s what counts.
