There are two "Glassy Mountains" in the Upstate of South Carolina. The other Glassy is in Greenville County, SC, near the NC/SC state line, and is the location of a very rich and exclusive retirement community. The Glassy in this picture is near Pickens, SC, in a much smaller mountain range, and much closer to the area in which I live. (more info: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glassy_Mountain_%28South_Carolina%29 )
