"Look- I can hold two crayons at the same time!"
Say "cheese!"
Kolton has a language all of his own...

Best money I *never* spent. I downloaded Ubuntu 11 on an old PC that was giving me problems when I was trying to re-install Windows. I'm actually impressed with this free Linux Distro. One of the free packages I downloaded was the GCompris educational software package for kids age 2 and up. When Kristin and Kolton came over, I was amazed at how much Kolton loved it!
Next, I plan to take an old Acer Netbook I bought for Kristin a year or two ago that runs Windows 7. My first impulse is to install Ubuntu in a virtual box inside Windows using Virtualbox (Virtualbox.org), but since Kristin seldom uses this machine anyway, I've now decided to install it alongside Windows 7 and create a dual-boot system. That way, Ubuntu will be able to run in its own environment, unhampered by Windows. I figure I can't lose, based on Kolton's reaction!
