A retired trampoline mat finds a new use. With the aid of stakes, cable ties and the back fence it becomes a shade for lettuce and rocket. The lettuce clearly tastes sweeter now and I think the rocket is better too. This shot shows the light in the morning. I got the idea of using the mat as shade cloth from noticing that the lawn grew more quickly under the trampoline than in comparable other places. February 2019.

Thanks Pam. The plants growing are my wife's effort. I just do the odd bit of digging and banging in or pulling up stakes.
