echidna cake0001

echidna cake0001
A birthday cake as an echidna for an offspring in the mid eighties. A chocolate butter cake with soft chocolate icing and chocolate sprinkles. The spines are chocolate coated liquorice (bullets), the eyes are pieces of pink musk stick, the legs are jelly beans and the snout is a confectionery banana.

Not by me, we haven't produced many decorated cakes.

Me neither! I love cooking but I've never baked a cake in my life! Never been all that keen on sweet things and I'm diabetic anyway!

That's no good about the Diabetes. A grandson, son of our eldest daughter, has recently been diagnosed with Type 1.

A very similar concept but it looks on a grander scale than our shy little hedgehog. Thank you for raiding your archives to introduce the cousins!

The cake was made for two girls, one our eldest and the other a daughter of a family we knew then, hence the generous size.
