The song of India plant is a species from the dracaena genus (dracaena reflexa) which has become a popular house plant.
This tree like plant is fairly easy to grow and maintain like others from this genus, although it does require high humidity levels.

Origin: Madagascar and other Indian ocean islands.
Names: Song of India, Pleomele (common). -- Dracaena reflexa (botanical/scientific).

It is quite unusual to see a real koala in the wild although friends of ours in Maleny have seen some in their gum trees. Sadly their numbers are dwindling.
