Saturday challenge - 275. - 17.09.2022 - Chiaroscuro.
Chiaroscuro literally means “light/dark.” The term traditionally refers to Renaissance paintings where the subject is well-lit and three-dimensional, usually with exaggerated shadows and highlights, and a background that transitions into darker, heavily-shadowed areas.

Tacking Point in 2022
|
|
|
|
Stunning day in Port Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia.
A visit to our favourite lighthouse, after a light lunch at Lighthouse Beach surf club. Perfect!
Tacking Point was named by Matthew Flinders in 1802, on HMS Investigator.
This lighthouse is one of five along the northern NSW coastline designed by noted colonial architect James Barnet. The other four lighthouses are at Clarence Head, Fingal Head, Richmond Head and Crowdy Head. Four of these five original lighthouses, including Tacking Point, are still in use.
Tacking Point Lighthouse was built in 1879.
It is looked after so well.

in the neighbourhood, New South Wales, Australia.
The Bird of Paradise (Strelitzia) is a much loved plant in Australian gardens.
The genus is named after the duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, birthplace of Queen Charlotte of the United Kingdom. Native to South Africa, it is commonly known as a crane flower there, and is featured on the reverse of the 50 cent coin. It is the floral emblem of the City of Los Angeles.
