140/366 Norfolk Pines 20SH
A visit to the post office, a walk on the beach with the dogs. A few people out and about, and spotted this morning gathering at a picnic table.

142/366 baby butcherbird
We have been adopted by a family of butcherbirds, who sit on the rails of our deck, trilling. This teases our cat and two dogs...

Nearly forgot to take a daily photo, so this was random at 5:45 pm ... and a bit grainy...

145/366 curved horizon
Went to our local Foodworks, always a reassuring experience. Friendly staff, very well stocked, wide aisles, suitable distance keeping, and not too many people.
We walked to the local whale watch lookout which is relatively new, put up in 2016.A rewarding short walk through the woods to a high wooden platform accessed by stairs.
At the lookout you can see a panoramic view North, and below is the Razorback, a dramatic sea stack and a large tilted rock platform with pools and a cave.

146/366 Loved, and not so loved
Saturday challenge..."Take, in the same photo, the worst thing that you hate, and the thing, on the contrary, that you love passionately. You should not say in the comment or in the photo the thing you hate and the thing you like; It will be up to the friends of the group to find the answer."
I don't really hate anything...
OK, so I really love the oil painting by my Dad. You can just see his initials VH bottom right.
It is a copy of The Shadow by Charles Blackman, Australian artist. The Schoolgirl series 1950s.
I don't like the frilly top of the ceramic vase, ironically, a bit too 50s or something. It is a container for citronella oil with space for a candle underneath. I do like the colours and artwork.

147/366 wild
Wet and windy today, and the surf is up.
The rain drenched me as I pursued my photographic hobby :-) Worth it, though.

Our cat, Dora the Explorer, out on the deck.
I sorted out our archive artwork, an eclectic collection, mostly of sentimental value. I will probably rotate displays from time to time, but meanwhile have found an accessible cupboard for them to live. First had to clear the cupboard which was full of boxes, containing boxes, which have now added to the clutter in the garage. Thank goodness we have the carport at the back of the garage.
Gavin, a landscaper came to assess the challenge of transforming the goat track of a back yard on our 1200 sqm (sloping) block of land. His recommendation was to keep it simple. So the project, now agreed with him, is a pathway around the perimeter underneath the deck, complete the fencing, smooth the rocky ground and partially turf it.
