Säulen der Gesellschaft - (Pillars of the Society / Piliers de la société)

… ist als ein allegorisches Programm für die Kernpunkte des Wiederaufbaus Deutschlands nach 1945 zu verstehen. Die vier Bronze-Stauen von Elmar Dietz (ED) und Roland Friederichsen (RF) aus dem Jahr 1951 stellen die vier Säulen der neuen Gesellschaft dar. Die Statuen schmückten 1953 das Portal der ehemaligen Bayerischen Hypotheken- und Wechsel-Bank und sind heute in der Theatinerstr. 8 in der Münchner Altstadt zu sehen.

The four pillars of the society is an allegorical figure of the main lines for the reconstruction program of Germany after WW II. The statues are symbolized by the „intellectual worker with scroll“ as a sign of the creative and organizing mind, and by a „woman with ears“ as an indication of the utilization of vegetative forces of nature, and the „manual worker with compasses“, a sign of mastery of physical forces, and by a „woman, handing money" as a symbol of commerce. The sculptors Elmar Dietz and Friederichsen planned this work together with the head of the Bayerische Hypotheken- und Wechselbank in 1950 for the portal of the bank building which finally was completed in year 1953.

Les quatre piliers de la société est une figure allégorique des grandes lignes du programme de reconstruction de l'Allemagne après la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Les statues sont symbolisés par le "travailleur intellectuel avec défilement" comme un signe de l'esprit créatif et l'organisation, et par une "femme avec les oreilles» comme une indication de l'utilisation des forces végétatives de la nature, et le «travailleur manuel avec compas" , un signe de la maîtrise des forces physiques, et par une «femme, la remise de l'argent" comme un symbole de commerce. Les sculpteurs Elmar Dietz et Roland Friederichsen prévues ce travail en collaboration avec le chef de la Bayerische Hypotheken-und Wechselbank en 1950 pour le portail du bâtiment de la banque qui a finalement été achevée en 1953.
