I don't know whether to laugh or launch into pseudo-profound analysis. I'd rather laugh. I can't help seeing the wet floor warning as some sort of Stat Wars robot looking quizzically at the scene.

This is sheer genius - if we still had the Museum metaphor in play, this would be one for it.

Thank you very much, Bob. I hadn't thought of the resemblance to a robot. Speaking of looking at things quizzically, I remember from my childhood Red Skelton telling a joke about an alien who lands on Earth, sidles over to a gas pump, and says "Hey, honey, got change for a hern?"

I like the slightly off-centre composition here John................it adds to the slightly surreal scene!

Another of your photos that I like.............but can't find the right words to explain why!

Thanks, Keith. I just liked the incongruity of the furniture surrounded by the paraphernalia of apartment life.

An almost empty room, as well as picture, yet full of details - but still missing some things: cushions e.g.
I like it!

Thanks, Leon. No cushions because you really aren't meant to sit there. Thanks for mentioning that point because I had forgotten it (I see this daily and had just got used to it, I guess). But given the chairs are not functional, what are they there for? For tone, I suppose, or someone's idea of it. It's hard to overcome that fire alatm, though.

I thought that for a long time, too, Stoker, but then I realized I eat a lot of garlic.

And they won't even let him have seat cushions. This makes me think of imprisoned patio furniture, doomed never to see the sun.
