Amazing reflections and lovely light. Beautiful in it's dilapidation. Well captured John

Thanks, Carol. The beauty of dilapidation is often not fully appreciated.

Nice reflections, with a touch of mystery in the geometric shadows.

Thanks, Bob. And the flag -- is the Israeli consulate here?

This picture is a true great one ****************** too many feelings I get from looking at it wide, I can't really find words to express...
Can you tell us more about the place?

Thank you very much, Xata, All I know about this is that it is one of the surviving buildings from an old industrial district. The shore I was on was once part of an old industrial district, too, but it has been rebuilt and now has a pleasant pathway along the river from which you can photograph the other side. If you're ever changing trains in Norwich and have the time to go visit, this is south of the Lady Julian bridge. Lady Julian, by the way, was a mystic and the first woman known to have published a book in English (Revelations of Divine Love).

I just remembered I have another photo from nearby. I think I'll post that, too.

Thanks for all this info on the place, John. Maybe one day, maybe...

It's a lovely medieval city, Xata, with a fine cathedral and interesting museums. The centre of town is largely pedestrian, too. The city plan is widely admired but no one else seems to have the courage to implement it in their towns. The surrounding countryside is stunning. People like to go houseboating there, if that interests you.

Amazing detail and reflections................the shadows are very effective at drawing the eye into the centre of the shot.

Urban decay at it's best.................I love the combination of rotting wood, peeling paint, corrugated iron and rust! I'm intrigued by the Israeli flag, which seems really out of place.

Thanks, Keith. Yeah -- I don't think that's the Israeli consulate.

I don't know about the furniture restoration, the building could do with some TLC too! A marvellous image with all the detail and great reflections.

A superb shot, John. And as others have commented, strange to see the Israeli flag there!
