Cologne St. Heribert In Deutz (#0509)
Across the Rhine, Old St. Heribert in Deutz -- Deutz was once a separate city but is now part of Cologne. Originally founded in 1003, St. Heribert’s strategic location meant that it was involved in many fights and destroyed multiple times. It was damaged down to the foundation in WWII and rebuilt in the 1970’s. Originally Catholic, it now serves the Greek Orthodox community.
