Another important goal on this trip, seeing more of the historic English lock structures. This is the Teddington Locks on the Thames, at the tidal limit of the Thames and thus the lowest of the locks on the Thames. Much more on these locks with later pictures.

Brian -- Thank you for the links. I've actually been exploring the canals of the UK for a few years now, I started with the canals in Birmingham, and then the Regents in London in later visit, and have explored canals on the continent as well. I want to get to Pontcysyllte and some of the others, plus the Fallkirk wheel in Scotland, but all of that takes a fair amount of time when you're doing it by train -- I'm just not comfortable with a new style of driving at this point in life :)
