I had mixed feelings on seeing this abundant regrowth in the fire areas. It made for some wonderful, colorful, contrast to the burned forest, but I couldn't help but think about how much fuel this would provide in the late summer when it is dried out. (Location on map is a rough approximate)

The flowers are beautiful, though.

I'd think it would be a while before this area builds up enough fuel to stoke a big fire, wouldn't it? At least a few years.

Up there they may be okay, but the wildfires we're already having are being fueled by the new growth combined with the high heat that sucks the life out of them very quickly.
