Great Basin National Park Alpine lakes (#1161)

I've got practically this same shot! ;) With Teresa Lake looming thru the trees--

This section of trail is much prettier than I could photograph -- the light contrasts made it difficult to photograph.

But it is a very pretty hike! When we were back thru there 2 months later we took the hike into the cirque by the bristlecones instead.

Wimps! (I'm teasing). Both times I've hiked there I've done both at the same time, the Bristlecone up to near the glacier and then back through the lakes. I was going to do the climb to Wheeler Peak, but weather made that impossible.

Well, both times we had only a few hours because we were headed into Utah! ;)

I keep telling Robin we just haven't seen the right parts of Nevada. This is one of the right parts.
