I'm amazed at the ages of some of the diesels that are still in use. I tried looking up when the Soo line stopped being painted in this scheme, but couldn't quite figure it out. Like most railroads in the US, its a mash-up from mergers and purchases of other railroads. Per Wikipedia, Canadian Pacific (CP) gained full control in 1990 and some time in the 2000's the line was completely consolidated into the CP.
