Flathead Lake, from an overlook on US 93. Flathead Lake is the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi and is a natural lake, though thanks to a dam on the southern end the elevation of the water is 10' higher than it would be.

Robin has an uncle who lives in Helena. He and Robin's aunt (who has since passed away) took us across Glacier once in 2002 on Going to the Sun Road, then came back down Flathead Lake as we circled back toward Helena. I doubt we ever would have gone this way otherwise, though it's a really pretty drive.
