Marin Headlands 1553a

Battery Rathbone-McIndoe. The battery was used for four decades (through the end of WWII), during which the Golden Gate Bridge was built. Considering the dramatic views, but the boredom of guard duty, it would be interesting to hear how soldiers experienced being in this lookout tower over those years.
