Griffith Park Old Zoo (2604)

Former LA City Zoo. This zoo closed in 1965, with the new zoo opening just a short distance away, still in Griffith Park. Much of the structure of the old zoo was built with the assistance of the WPA (Workers Progress Administration). The upper portion of a grotto. The grottos are fenced off on the upper side, though they are clear accessible through the fence and from the lower side.
