CJ Srike Dam on the Snake River, one of three built by Idaho Power on the Snake. None of the three dams have fish ladders, thus fish that migrate inland from the ocean to breed (e.g., salmon) no longer breed in the upper portions of the Snake.

When we lived in the Northwest, I was amused the degree to which everyone felt bad for the salmon but took cheap hydropower as a birthright!
