London: Buses in London

Wednesday 3 April 2013 (0743) – Stagecoach London 15110 (LX09 FZG), a Scania Omnicity integral double decker new in July 2009, seen turning in Finsbury Pavement when working on London Buses contracted service 205. Rarely do you see a bus without any advertisng in London. (I had travelled on this bus on Monday evening from Shepherdess Walk to Epworth Street)

Wednesday 3 April 2013 (1326) – Arriva London DW270 (LJ59 LWT), a Wright Gemini 2 integral new in January 2010, seen in Shaftesbury Avenue working on London Buses contracted service 38.

Wednesday 3 April 2013 (1331) – London United, owned by the French RATP Group, TLA25 (SN53 KJA), a Transbus Trident (Alexander bodied Dennis Trident) new in December 2003, seen in about to enter Piccadilly Circus from Regent Street when working on London Buses contracted service 94.

Wednesday 3 April 2013 (1401) – On the upper deck of Stagecoach London 17753 (LX03 BTV), a Transbus (Alexander bodied Dennis Trident) new in March 2003, in Bloomsbury Way working on London Buses contracted service 8.

Wednesday 3 April 2013 (1420) – Stagecoach London 17753 (LX03 BTV), a Transbus (Alexander bodied Dennis Trident) new in March 2003, seen in Bishopsgate by the entrance to Liverpool Street railway station working on London Buses contracted service 8. We had travelled on this bus from Bloomsbury Way.

Easter Monday 1 April 2013 (1200) – Stagecoach London 15159 (LX59 CPV), a Scania Omnicity integral double decker new in January 2010, seen in Bishopsgate working on London Buses contracted service 48.

Easter Monday 1 April 2013 (1238) – A queue of buses at the southern end of London Bridge awaiting traffic lights at the top of Duke Street Hill. All are working London Buses contracted services. Nearest the camera is Stagecoach London 15164 (LX59 CRK), a Scania Omnicity integral double decker new January 2010. In front is Arriva London T110 (LJ59 LYK), an Alexander Dennis Enviro400 bodied Trident also new in January 2010. Leading is a similar bus operated by Abellio London [9438 (LJ09 CBX) or 9458 (LJ09 CDX) new April 2009?]

Easter Monday 1 April 2013 (1403) – Metroline Buses TE689 (LK55 KKZ), an Alexander Dennis Enviro400 bodied Trident new in February 2006, seen in Queen Victoria Street when operating London Buses contracted service 4. Metroline has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore based ComfortDelGro since March 2000.

Sunday 10 September 1989 – Former London Transport/London Buses AEC-Park Royal Routemaster RM113 (VLT 113) was an entry at the British Bus Day rally at Norwich. Not only an entry but it also was on hand for the ‘Drive a bus’ circuit. Couldn’t resist having a go, the only Routemaster I have driven.

Wednesday 24 August 2016 (1152) – Arriva London VLW127 (LF52 UPB), a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL new February 2003, seen at the junction of Lower Clapton Road/Dalston Lane/Mare Street, Hackney when working Transport for London service 242.

In the middle background is a Wrightbus New Routemaster of Stagecoach London working service 55. (Might be LT369 (LTZ 1369) new January 2015).

At the kerb is LT7 (LTZ 1007) new as LT12 GHT in June 2012 (one of the original eight prototypes) being passed by VLW127 (LF52 UPB), a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL new February 2003.

Wednesday 24 August 2016 (1157) – Arriva London LT200 (LTZ 1200), a Wrightbus New Routemaster new in May 2014, seen in Dalston Lane, London E8 heading as far as Hackney Central Station, a shorter working on Transport for London service 38. The northern terminus of service 38 is Clapton Pond about one mile beyond Hackney Central.
