First Eastern Counties depot in Great Yarmouth - 29 Mar 2022 (P1110045)

Tuesday 29 March 2022 (1016) – The First Eastern Counties Buses Limited depot in Caister Road, Great Yarmouth was originally owned by Great Yarmouth Corporation Transport. Depictions of different transport modes are featured over the three doorways.

Services in the Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft areas are now marketed as Coastal Reds and the First Group corporate livery has almost been phased out now. On the forecourt in this view is 30959 (YJ51 RCO) which wears the old livery with the new vinyls applied and 37022 (YJ06 XKL) in the new livery.

30959 is an Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL that was new in January 2001 to First York and 37022 is a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL new in May 2006 to First West Yorkshire.

(First Eastern Counties Buses Limited is now marketing itself as Coastal Reds in the Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft area a name not to be confused with unrelated Lynx Bus in North Norfolk that is registered with Companies House as Coastal Red Limited).
