Friday 1 October 2021 (1158) – A shortage of fuel tanker delivery drivers, and the resulting shortage of fuel at filling stations, has created chaos all over the country. Tailbacks and road blockages were created by motorists queueing to panic buy fuel at the Jet filling station in North Terrace, Mildenhall causing frustrating delays for the bus drivers.

Mulleys Motorways YN54 AHE was almost through the tailback which had delayed the inbound service from West Row along Queensway and was now almost 20 minutes late. It still had to serve College Heath Road (due 1140) before arriving at the Bus Station (due 1145).

The bus is one of the Scania N94UD OmniCity buses acquired from Nottingham City Transport in the Spring of 2015. With NCT it carried fleet number 211 and was new in September 2004.
