Tuesday 11 August 1998 – Passengers having arrived by ferry from Europe at Dover boarding a London bound National Express service 020.

The coach is Stagecoach South (East Kent) 8913 (M913 WJK), a Plaxton Expressliner bodied Volvo B10M new in July 1995, that was wearing the ‘Express Shuttle’ livery employed by National Express on some of their services operating between key locations. The shuttle principle followed the same idea as that used by the airlines, a passenger could just turn up and go without having to pre-book.
