The service, branded U for Universal is sponsored by the University of Cambridge but is available to all, links various University locations. It runs from the Biomedical Campus (Addenbrooke’s Hospital) via Cambridge Railway Station, the west Cambridge site, Madingley Road Park and Ride site to terminate at Eddington.

Between Addenbrookes and Cambridge Railway it travels on the southern part of the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway, the guide wheel for which can be seen.
