Galloway European Coachlines 279 (AY09 BYZ) in Bury St. Edmunds - 15 Jan 2010 (DSCN3786)
Friday 15 January 2010 (1132) – Galloway European Coachlines was doing a promotion for their 2010 ‘Sapphire Star’ tours in the town centre in Bury St Edmunds. AY09 BYZ, a Van Hool T916 Astron, was seen parked in the pedestrian area adjoining Cornhill. It carried fleet number 279 and is named ‘Omega Centauri’.

(According to Wikipedia, Omega Centauri is a globular cluster seen in the constellation of Centaurus, discovered by Edmond Halley in 1677 who listed it as a nebula. Omega Centauri had been listed in Ptolemy's catalogue 2000 years ago as a star).
