Herberts of Shefford E601 LBF near Aston- 9 Mar 1998 (381-12A)

Monday 9 March 1998 (approx. 0755) – The village of Aston near Stevenage provides the backcloth to Herberts of Shefford, Bedfordshire E601 LBF which had just made its first pick-up at the Rose and Crown car park on a school contract to the Nobel School in Stevenage.

It is a Coachcraft bodied Mercedes-Benz 811D that had been new to Golden Travel of Kensal Green in June 1988 that was seen descending the hill to cross the River Beane before climbing again to reach the Watton-at-Stone to Walkern Road.
