East Yorkshire 624 (S624 MKH) in Hull – 6 Mar 2000 (434-18)

East Yorkshire 624 (S624 MKH) in Hull – 6 Mar 2000 (434-18)
Monday 6 March 2000 (approx. 1420) – In British Electric Traction days prior to the formation of the National Bus Company, East Yorkshire Motor Services buses were painted in a most respected indigo blue livery relieved with cream and white. The NBC changed the livery to red. On privatisation a deep red and cream livery was introduced although a small number of buses carried the indigo, cream and white colour scheme based on that of the early days.

Northern Counties bodied Volvo Olympian 624 (S624 MKH), which was new in September 1998, is seen sporting the classic scheme as it travelled from Jameson Street to King Edward Street in Hull. This area is all pedestrianised today and buses no longer traverse these streets.
