Portsmouth Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1s - 7 Jul 1976
Wednesday 7 July 1976 - Portsmouth Corporation Transport took delivery of 54 MCW bodied Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1 buses between 1963 and 1966. 201-235 (201-225 BTP and 226-235 CRV) arrived in 1963 followed by 236-245 (BBK 236-245B) in 1964 and 246-254 (ERV 246-254D) in 1966.
Not a very good photograph which was printed on a bubbled type photographic paper which isn’t good for clarity before or after the scanning.
Two of the Atlanteans and a Leyland National single decker are seen parked near South Parade Pier in Southsea. The leading bus is certainly one of the BTP registered batch - perhaps 212 or 213?
