DSCF1261 Amersham & District Motorbus Society Running Day at Watford Junction - 8 Apr 2018

DSCF1261 Amersham & District Motorbus Society Running Day at Watford Junction - 8 Apr 2018
Sunday 8 April 2018 (1217) – In addition to the normal regular bus services using Watford Junction Interchange, today there was also a number of preserved vehicles taking part in the Amersham & District Motorbus Society Running Day. The event replicated former London Transport services of the past.

Former London Transport RTL554 (KGU 4), a Metro-Cammell bodied Leyland PD2 variant specifically made for LT, was new in September 1949.

In the centre of the site between trips on regular service 142 to Brent Cross is London Sovereign (RATP Group) ADE40406 (YX12 FNM), an Alexander Dennis Enviro400 that had been new to London United (also RATP Group owned) in June 2012 (ADE6).

Behind the RTL is Arriva 3896 (BU06 HSK), a Mercedes-Benz Citaro O 530 new in August 2006, working service 724 from Heathrow to St. Albans and Harlow and on the far left is Mullany’s Coaches HP06 BUS, an Alexander Dennis Enviro400 new in June 2014, operating the shuttle to/from the Harry Potter Studios at Leavesden.
