Monday 27 Sept 2010 (0846) - Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company (Go-Ahead Group owned) 903 (YN56 FFC), a Scania Omnidekka with East Lancs body new in August 2006, seen in Castle Square. Most of the company’s buses carry names of people having a connection with the Brighton area. Douglas Byng, born in 1893, had one of the longest careers ever on the stage lasting 72 years. Noel Coward described his nightclub act as 'the most refined vulgarity in London'. Although Byng was born in Nottingham, and often appeared in the West End, he was more associated with Brighton than anywhere else.
