Wednesday 5 April 2017 (1204) – Reading Buses services 21/21a carry Claret branding. The 21a, a short run of the Lower Earley service 21 via the University and branded ‘Spritzer’, is tailored toward the student traveller and the buses have a ‘lounge zone’, a ‘play zone’ (computer games etc) and a ‘study zone’ with tables. One quirky feature of the latter is this lamp with waste bin on the upper deck! There is also a mini library and a small juke box on which to play tunes from Bluetooth technology. This was on board bus 809 (YN54 AFA), an East Lancs Omnidekka bodied Scania N94UD new in October 2004.
