Eastern Counties VR166 (MCL 942P) stuck between Barton Mills and Mildenhall - 7 Aug 1981

Friday 7 August 1981 (approx. 1445) – Eastern Counties Omnibus Company VR166 (MCL 942P) squeezing by a County Council truck on Station Road between Barton Mills and Mildenhall. Earlier in the day a milk delivery truck had slid into the ditch and the County Council gang were just finishing off the tidying up of the verge. The bus is an Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol VR working service 970 from Bury St Edmunds to Lakenheath. Out of shot behind the camera was another bus heading in the opposite direction. This was VR195 (TEX 405R) working the 1355 service 971 from Lakenheath to Bury St. Edmunds.
