Eastern Counties XNG 206S - June 1986

June 1986 - Following a number of years of parking their Mildenhall outstationed buses in car parks, first in the private car park of Kirby (later Kirby-Warrick) Pharmaceuticals Limited and then on the public car park at the corner of Chiswick Avenue and Hampstead Avenue, by 1986 Eastern Counties Omnibus Company seemed to be made ‘homeless’ and the buses were kerbside parked along Hampstead Avenue itself just east of the junction with Folly Road. Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol VR VR206 (XNG 206S) seen here sporting a creative advertisement for Eagle Star Insurance.
