Hardwick's Services SUA 296, a Leyland bodied Leyland PD2/12 new in 1954. At this time the company's departure point in Scarborough was Newham's Garage in Victoria Road where the bus was photographed.
The Hardwick's business was acquired by Wallace Arnold Tours in 1952 and operated from Scarborough via Snainton (where the garage was) to Ebberston. On market days the service continued via Yedingham to Malton.
