Hardwick's Services MUM 275 in Scarborough circa 1967

Hardwick's Services MUM 275 in Scarborough circa 1967
Hardwick's Services MUM 275 seen in Northway Bus Station, Scarborough - the bus station owned by the West Yorkshire Road Car Company. For a number of years the company's departure point in Scarborough was Newham's Garage in Victoria Road until it moved to Northway.

The Hardwick's business was acquired by Wallace Arnold Tours in 1952 and operated from Scarborough via Snainton (where the garage was) to Ebberston. On market days the service continued via Yedingham to Malton.

MUM 275 was a new as a Wallace Arnold coach fitted with a Wilks and Meade single deck coach body and was subsequently rebodied as a double decker by Charles Roe of Leeds. A picture of it as a coach may be seen at: www.flickr.com/photos/78828987@N05/7490728576/in/photolist-
