Thursday 6 June 2013 (0952) – Newquay, Cornwall: As a result of a disastrous fire at the depot of Western Greyhound in Summercourt near Newquay, Cornwall on 13 May 2013, various operators far and wide loaned buses to WG to help the company maintain its services. Two loaned Optare Solos are seen here close to the Great Western Hotel in Newquay. Norfolk Green 604 (Y58 HBT) was working the 0940 service 591 from Newquay bus station to Truro via Perranporth. Nottingham City Transport 241 (X241 XBC) is coming in behind also working to Truro but via the shorter service 586 through St Newlyn East and Zealah. Odell’s Coaches ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ liveried Van Hool Alizee F621 HGO is between them loading on an excursion to the Royal Cornwall Show at Wadebridge.
