DSCN3318 Norfolk Green YJ09 EZU and S154 NNH
Monday 10 August 2009 (1506) – Two buses of Norfolk Green (Go-West Travel Ltd) seen in Hunstanton Bus Station. Optare Solo 312 (YJ09 EZU) had just arrived as the 1425 service 35 from Kings Lynn and a new driver was taking over to continue as the 1510 service to Cromer (due 1700). These services are a through working on the ‘Coasthopper’ service. In the background is Plaxton Beaver bodied Mercedes-Benz Vario 415 (S154 NNH) (new late 1998/early 1999) was acting as the crew changeover waiting room.
The Solo is one of six new similar buses added to the fleet earlier this year (2009) which sport a revised ‘Coasthopper’ livery, the Vario carries the old ‘Coasthopper’ livery. Each Solo carries the name of a person who has lived on or near the Norfolk coast. 312 is named Sylvia Townsend Warner, after the novelist and poet who once lived at Salthouse, a village on the ‘Coasthopper’ route. Also in the picture is First Eastern Counties 30888 (W743 DWX), an Alexander bodied Volvo B7TL new to Yorkshire Rider (#5723) in July 2000.
