An old set of 115kV cutouts has been cast off to the corner of the sub.

SW Ohio Lines, Tony Glen, Hungry4Power, Lewis Perkins have particularly liked this photo

You know, it would be well worth asking if those are for sale or where they are getting thrown out. Those would be top notch to have in any ones collection!

Well, if you want one, I can tell you where the sub's at. I'm sure they'd be happy to give them away--they'll either be doing that or throwing them in a dumpster.

Only problem is those stacker multiparts are HEAVY. I'm not even sure how many of them the suspension in my car could handle. But I guess if you want a mailbox post that could withstand the snow plow, a couple of them could do the trick! ; )

One of my parents' neighbors got so tired of their mailbox getting busted by a plow they had their post done with a heavy spring on the bottom. Most days it stays upright, but a good bump will make it bounce to and fro for a few seconds before settling back down, and I'll bet it has saved them several replacements since.

I wonder if they are going to try and see if they can refit them with posts before condemning them to the dumpster? Else hanging onto them for emergency use?

I think they're just gonna throw 'em in the dumpster. They've got several new sets of cutouts laying around the sub already:
