Here's a nice old pole with a Westinghouse CSP transformer and an extra set of cutouts to go with it.

quick question... are you gonna upload all your old photos or are you gonna take new ones?

I'm probably going to gradually re-upload all of my old photos onto here. I've got them all backed up onto DVD's, so maybe on the next few rainy days, I'll take some "virtual" line safaris and revisit some old pictures.

How do you like that old Westy can by the way?

Thanks! Those bushings look to be 9kV-class ones. Every once in a while I find these old 4800 volt cans with larger bushings on them...guess it's a fluke or something. I know they aren't dual voltage cans though.

Thanks! I thought the old Westinghouse can came out particularly well in this photo. Sure beats a lot of my other pictures!

You're probably right about those cutouts. CL&P never used to use external cutouts with their CSP transformers on 4800. Not quite sure why they put 'em here though...maybe their standard has recently changed?
