"Fenêtre" sur nature. "Fenster" zur Natur.

C'est un bac à chaînes avec deux chaînes métalliques de longueur égale à la largeur de la rivière. Elles sont ancrées chacune à un point fixe sur chaque rive. La seconde extrémité de chaque chaîne est fixée sur le bateau. Il suffit de tirer sur la chaîne pour faire mouvoir le bateau qui est lié à une corde pour éviter la dérive. THE "PASSEUR" (NAME OF THE BOAT) ON THE SARTHE RIVER. It is a chain ferry with two metal chains equal in length to the width of the river. They are each anchored to a fixed point on each bank. The second end of each chain is fixed to the boat. The boat can be moved by pulling on the chain, which is attached to a rope to prevent it from drifting. "LE PASSEUR" (NAME DES BOOTES) AUF DEM FLUSS SARTHE. Es handelt sich um eine Kettenfähre mit zwei Metallketten, deren Länge der Breite des Flusses entspricht. Sie sind jeweils an einem festen Punkt an jedem Ufer verankert. Das zweite Ende jeder Kette ist am Boot befestigt. Das Boot ist mit einem Seil verbunden, um ein Abdriften zu verhindern.

Le temps s'enfuit, comme partout ailleurs, mais ici dans ce château-hôtel peut-être avec plus de distinction ;-) Le Château du Bû est niché dans un écrin de verdure en Suisse Normande. Time flies, like everywhere else, but here in this castle-hotel perhaps with more elegance;-) The Chateau du Bû is nestled in a green setting in Suisse Normandy. Die Zeit rennt weg, wie überall, aber hier in diesem Schlosshotel vielleicht mit mehr Vornehmheit;-) Das Schloss von Bû liegt eingebettet in seiner grünen Umgebung in der normannischen Schweiz.

Pontécoulant Castle, with its courtyard of honour and its large park laid out during the reign of Louis XVI, is a jewel of Norman Switzerland. The Pontécoulant family settled here from the 14th century and died out in 1896. They left the castle to the Département Calvados, which converted it into a museum from 1908. Built in the 16th century on the site of a feudal mound castle, the château was extended and remodelled in the 18th century. It is still furnished with the original furniture of the Pontécoulant family. UN LONG CHEMIN POUR ALLER AU CHÂTEAU. Le château de Pontécoulant avec sa cour d’honneur et son grand parc créé sous Louis XVI est un joyau de la Suisse Normande. La Famille De Pontécoulant s’y est établie dès le XIVème siècle et s'y est éteinte en 1896, laissant le château au département du Calvados, qui l'aménagea en musée dès 1908. Le Château construit au XVIème siècle à l’emplacement d’une ancienne motte féodale fut agrandi et réaménagé au XVIIIème siècle. Il est toujours meublé avec le mobilier d'origine de la famille de Pontécoulant. EIN LANGER WEG ZUM SCHLOSS. Das Schloss Pontécoulant mit seinem Ehrenhof und seinem grossen Park, der unter Louis XVI. angelegt wurde, ist ein Juwel der Normannischen Schweiz. Die Familie von Pontécoulant liess sich hier ab dem 14. Jh. nieder und starb 1896 aus. Sie überliess das Schloss dem Département Calvados, das es ab 1908 als Museum umbaute. Das im 16. Jh. an der Stelle einer feudalen Erdhügelburg errichtete Schloss wurde im 18. Jh. erweitert und umgestaltet. Es ist noch immer mit dem ursprünglichen Mobiliar der Familie de Pontécoulant eingerichtet.

L'église Saint-Pierre-de-Feuguerolles, au milieu du cimetière entouré d’un enclos, appartient au roman de transition. Elle date du XIIe siècle puis elle a subi des changements jusqu'au XVIIe siècle. La tour-clocher est équipée de hautes contreforts angulaires sur chacune de ses arêtes. FORTIFIED! The church of Saint-Peter, which stands in the middle of the walled cemetery, belongs to the transitional Romanesque period. It dates from the 12th century and underwent changes until the 17th century. The bell tower is equipped with high angular buttresses at each corner. BEFESTIGT ! Die Kirche Saint-Peter, die inmitten des von einer Mauer umgebenen Friedhofs steht, gehört zur Übergangsromanik. Sie stammt aus dem 12. Jh. und wurde bis ins 17. Jh. hinein verändert. Der Glockenturm ist an jeder Ecke mit hohen Winkelstrebepfeilern ausgestattet.

...someone has created this small flowering spot. Sur le bord de la route, quelqu'un a arrangé ce petit carré fleuri. Am Strassenrand hat jemand dieses kleine blühende Eckchen angelegt.

Cette année encore, les muguets fleurissent dans mon jardin juste à temps pour le 1er mai. Je souhaite bonne chance à tous. Just in time for May 1st, they are blooming in my garden again this year. Le châtelet d'entrée du château de Carrouges avec 4 tourelles circulaires est un pavillon à deux étages dont la construction combine des briques rouges et noires, il est considéré comme le premier témoin de l'architecture de la Renaissance en Normandie. PiP: c'est déjà rare de voir une Bentley, mais plus intéressant est le N° d'immatriculation :-)) THE 16th CENTURY LOOKS AT YOU ...The gatehouse of Carrouges Castle with 4 circular turrets is a two-storey pavilion which construction combines red and black bricks, it is considered the first witness of Renaissance architecture in Normandy. SIEHT EUCH AN ...Das Torhaus von Schloss Carrouges mit 4 runden Türmchen ist ein zweistöckiger Pavillon, dessen Konstruktion rote und schwarze Ziegelsteine miteinander kombiniert. Es gilt als erstes Zeugnis der Renaissance-Architektur in der Normandie. PiP: Es ist schon selten, einen Bentley zu sehen, aber noch interessanter ist das Kennzeichen :-)))

La jacinthe des bois (ou jacinthe sauvage) teint les sous-bois entièrement bleus au printemps. Les petites clochettes sont regroupées en grappes courbées, unilatéral et semi-pendant. Je trouve que cela donne à la plante l'aspect de dormir... PiP: pommier en fleurs BLUE SPRING CARPET. The common bluebell turns the undergrowth completely blue in spring. The small bells are grouped in curved clusters, one-sided and semi-pendant. I find that this gives the plant the appearance of sleeping.... PiP: apple tree in blossom BLAUER FRÜHLINGSTEPPICH. Das "atlantische Hasenglöckchen" färbt das Unterholz im Frühling komplett blau. Die kleinen Glöckchen sind in gebogenen, einseitigen und halbhängenden Trauben zusammengefasst. Ich finde, das sieht aus, also ob die Pflanze schlafen würde... PIP: blühender Apfelbaum

L'ancien manoir médiéval a été reconstruit dans les premières années 1600 par Gabriel II de Montgommery. Il est fils du célèbre Gabriel Ier, connu dans l’Histoire de France pour avoir tué accidentellement le roi de France Henri II, lors d’un tournoi à Paris en 1559 ! Le château avec ses imposants murs de briques et de granite et son entrée à colonnes baguées se situe au bord de la Sélune (2e PiP). MONTGOMMERY CASTLE. The old medieval manor was rebuilt in the early 1600s by Gabriel II de Montgommery. He was the son of the famous Gabriel I, known in French history for having accidentally killed King Henri II during a tournament in Paris in 1559! The castle with its imposing brick and granite walls and ringed columned entrance stands on the river Sélune (2nd PiP). DAS SCHLOSS DER FAMILIE MONTGOMMERY. Das ehemalige mittelalterliche Herrenhaus wurde in den frühen 1600er Jahren von Gabriel II de Montgommery wieder aufgebaut. Er war der Sohn des berühmten Gabriel I., der in der französischen Geschichte dafür bekannt ist, dass er König Henri II. bei einem Turnier in Paris im Jahr 1559 versehentlich tötete! Das Schloss mit seinen imposanten Ziegel- und Granitmauern und dem Eingang mit beringten Säulen befindet sich am Fluss Sélune (2. PiP).
