A SLEEP OF OVER 4000 YEARS. The megalithic burial side-entrance site "Crec'h Quillé" was still in use around 2500-2000 BC according to the radiocarbon dating of the charcoal found. The monument is remarkable for its well-preserved mound, in places almost 1 m high.

Chr. in Gebrauch.

Magnificent long chamber or fogue ( the Cornish name for these)!
i'm sorry but I want to give this a yellow star but tonight I don't have that possibility as the function has disappeared!

Thanks Andy, I remember this word "fogou". As I'm interested in megalithic sites, I once read soemthing about "Halliggye Fogou", one of Cornwall's mysterious subterranean tunnels.

I don't know that one but I'm very familiar with one in the vicarage gardens in Pendeen, Cornwall. The jury is still out as to what the purpose of these was!
And at last! A belated yellow star!
