A wonderful 'bookcase' some of our old red telephone boxes are used for the same idea, and I know of a bus route that has a bookshelf on the buses

Interesting implementation! I like this idea with tree! But I am concerned - Is there a risk that books may be damaged in the event of unexpected weather deterioration? It is installed right on the street near the wall of the house?

Actually, they are sheltered and covered by the protruding roof. I added a PiP so that you can see the whole building (in the middle of the photo). It's the entry of the parc where I took the red-berries-photo.

Wonderful idea and you have captured the beauty of the thought in this photo. We, here in our little town in NC, USA are also offering books (and non-perishable food) in a plain wooden cabinet. I love the creativity of the tree in this shot.

I do not know this concept here (only with books), but I think this it's a great idea to set up a booth with different stuff to donate.

Super, qu'il y en a même à Ouessant. J'essaie toujours de persuader notre municipalité de faire pareil dans notre village - mais en vain jusqu'ici...

En fait à Ouessant c'est ma cousine ( et voisine ) qui a construit une niche vitrée , posée sur son mur et on l'agrémente avec des bouquins pour ces échanges ; mais je crois que les gens lisent de moins en moins ...

Oui hélas ! Et à juger par l'état de certains livres, on dirait qu'il sont là depuis très longtemps sans que quelqu'un les a touchés...
